Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : JFK
POE Date : 2019-06-16
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Went very smoothly, opened the envelope asked us where we came from and how long, if we had any meats or fruits, asked if had a date set, stamp a few scribbles and off we went. He was the only person screening with a line of over 500 people, didn't break a sweat or give an attitude due to frustration very professional.

Comments : The entire place was warm and welcoming, from the security guards maning the front to the receptionist in the windows, did not feel intimidated what so ever. Our interviewer was kind and cracked jokes while we walked to his office. Before we started he offered a translator via phone but we declined crazy right we declined. But as we went on my wife who barely spoke english started to stumble and he picked up the phone for a translator. He was so kind and understanding when my wife would not understand the question. Asked us for our real birth certificates and goverenment id's, asked my wife why she changed her name so many time, asked us to tell him about our relationship. How many times I went to visit, where we lived, where i worked, Didn't ask for extra things for our relationship proof what we sent with the package was enough. ask us how we met our birthdates. Just general questions and some of those 80 questions in the back of the i-485 where you check yes or no, like if you were planning to over throw the government. etc. He called the translator just for this part because he knew my wife would not understand. Over all a great stress free environment. I guess we were very lucky this was our CIS office.

Consulate Review: Bangkok, Thailand
Review Topic: General Review
Event Description
Review Date : March 20, 2019
Embassy Review : She got there around 6am, didn't get done until almost about 9:30am.

But the interview was through something like a ticket window you would see at a movie theater, sometimes difficult to hear. Some people say that you have the option for the interview to be in Thai but she did not get the option and had to do it in English.

Questions were all in English.

1) where was he born
2) Where does he live
3) Where does he work.
4) When did he visit you.

Ok I approve your visa will be ready in 1 week

Just to play it safe practice in English also just in case you don't get a interview in Thai option

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
