May I ask you, how long you waited for RFE paper in mail?? It's been a month for us, still waiting for RFE in mail. Hope to hear soon from you.. and yes, what was your RFE??

Hi, I honestly don't recall how long it took to receive the RFE paper in the mail. I believe it was about a month. They wanted us to send another copy of my divorce decree from my first marriage and new passport photos. (which we already submitted initially) After we submitted the RFE I received a notice to come in for an interview at my local immigration office. At the interview he approved our I130.

Have you received your interview date yet?
Melanie&Lorenzo on 2020-02-03 said:
Yes, my husband had the interview on 12/04.

I'm so sorry to hear about the denial. I noticed that your timeline is similar to mine up to the point where case was approved. My case was delayed due to mishandling and negligence from the attorney I had hired.

Well we knew he would be denied the visa due to his undocumented entry and involuntary deportation. We were hoping they would find him eligible to file waivers which he was. We submitted them and If they approve the waivers then he should be granted his visa.

Hopefully everything gets approved this second time around.

One question, did NVC accept all your documents the first time around?
Melanie&Lorenzo on 2020-04-06 said:
Yes they did.

I have a question, do you know if civil documents in spanish need to be translated to english?
Melanie&Lorenzo on 2020-06-04 said:
I'm not sure if they need to be however we had his birth certificate translated to english and we submitted them both to NVC and they accepted it. We didn't translate his police transcript to English and they accepted it.

Thank you.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
