Comments : US Embassy in Ukraine (Kyiv) seems to be one of the better embassies in regards to quick processing and interview availability. My fiance could have set her appointment as early as 17-Jan - it seems there are 4 interview slots each day. She opted to pick up her visa and passport from a local TMM Express delivery office in her city - she received a message from them that it was ready for pickup on 04-Feb.

Embassy Review : My fiance had her interview this morning and was verbally approved! There were 2 appointments ahead of her, which lasted about 15 minutes each. The interview was conducted at a kiosk, so she noticed that the first two were asked many questions.

On her turn they asked her 6 questions:
- How do you know each other? (we met via on-line dating site)
- Which site, exactly?
- How long have you known him?
- Where did you first meet your fiance?
- When?
- Where did the two of you travel? (we listed several trips to nearby countries in Europe)
- How long did you travel?

She didn't know the outcome of the previous 2 applicants.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Boston
Event Description
Entry Date : 2019-02-09
Embassy Review : Fast, efficient and easy.

My fiance was the first in line at border control. When she informed them she was here on a K1 visa they took her to an interview room. She waited about 5 minutes while they reviewed the visa package and then they questioned her for a few minutes - what is her nationality, does she have any other citizenship, is she bringing any fruits or vegetables, how much money did she bring with her. Then they told her to remind me that we have 90 days to marry and submit the adjustment of status paperwork. 10 minutes total to clear POE and wait for her luggage. javascript:emoticon('')

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
