Please did you wait for the embassy to contact your for the interview date or how did you go about it

We checked the website every day until available dates were finally shown on January 3rd. There were only 7 appointments available; 1 on March 19th, 3 on the 21st, and 3 on the 26th. We have yet to hear anything from the Consulate in Lagos. No letter, nor email. We must seek an extension as our NOA2 will expire prior to the interview. Please fill out your timeline so others may also see your dates as you are able to see ours. It's easier to assist and is helpful when the community knows what part of the process you are at and how long it took you to get there. Best of Luck!

Thank so much for the response..that means we also have to wait till another opening cos we have been checking

Definitely keep checking. I looked a few hours ago when it was about 7am in Lagos and there were 3 appointments for March 25th available. They have been scheduled now, but keep checking. The site will tell you something about reaching the maximum times you can view the page and to complete your transaction, but don't worry, that resets each day. Keep logging in!

Once you login to your profile, you will notified of the earliest date available. Once you do not see that, you don't have to click on SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. This gives you the chance to check as many times as possible in a day till you finally get a date.

@Drsmile - Each time we logged in prior to Jan 3rd it said no appointments were available. Finally there were appointments per my initial message, and we scheduled the first available. We still have not heard from the Consulate or received anything. My Fiancé in Lagos did call the Consulate the morning of Jan 3rd prior to our finding an appointment and it was suggested we email them. That wasn't done as I'd found an available appointment by the time I spoke with him. Now we (Babydoll, the Beneficiary) still has not received anything from the Consulate since the case left NVC and updated to READY status. We've had everything ready since the USCIS stage, only holding off on sending my last documents to him so they're as recent as possible.

@Ifeco. It took about 3 weeks of logging in every day multiple times. I've only seen appointments twice. On the 3rd when we scheduled ours, and again on the 8th. I still check every day to see if maybe someone cancelled and an earlier slot opened, but there are just no appointments each time. Be checking early AM Lagos time. The appointments open get snatched up FAST!

@Babydoll thanks a bunch for your response. @Ifeco you are really blessed with your early appointment, good luck. As per the P3, I received an email from the embassy informing me on the next steps(medicals, police report, affidavit of support, ds160, appointment schedule etc) I need to take priority to my interview and get prepared for the interview. I actually still keep checking for an earlier interview but none yet. I would rather settle my mind and prepare for the date I have. I am yet to go for my medicals, I want it to be as recent as possible before going for the interview, I will be doing that mid-February. I wish you guys all the best.

@Ifeco Look at you skipping the line! Amazing, and congratulations! I emailed the Consulate because our approval expires before the interview by two weeks. I did request P3, and received a generic email back with the instructions I've already seen in the forums here. Email LagosIV@state.gov You'll get an auto response and then another email a few days later. Include your LGS# in the subject line. @Drsmile You're taking the same approach as us. We've waited almost 5.5 years, we can wait a bit longer and be even more prepared. Slow and steady, we're all going to get through it! Are you both the Beneficiaries? I'm the Petitioner.
blank avatar Frozen🇺🇸 on 2019-01-18 said:
@Babydoll I am the beneficiary, same as @Ifeco. Yes we will get through in Jesus name amen. Your interview is two weeks after mine.

I also keep checking daily. This is really discouraging of course having come all this way with no ability to schedule the interview. Can someone give me guidance how to file for an extension with the NVC?

@Sunday-Here is P3. The packet - https://drive.google.com/file/d/18ecVe-vDjvk0thSFqHE9dtSyUy0Qccey/view For the Medical- https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jQbUHA-eDR6AHDGp4OHLBSPcMm31Zl9d/view For the medical, they wouldn't schedule until we had an interview appointment scheduled. Call and ask, each office may do scheduling differently. @U&N We emailed the Consulate to extend, as our NOA2 expires 2 weeks before our interview. Check out this page: https://www.visatutor.com/how-to-extend-your-i-129f-validity/ I haven't seen any available appointments since Jan 8

@Sunday - Yes, I received a response that was not automated, though I believe it was still scripted as it was very generic and told me I needed to fill the DS160 and pay the fee, which I had already stated had been done. They did not confirm or deny extending.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
