Comments : The counsel officer asked for the original police report from Canada Royal Canadian Mounted Police since my fiancee stayed in Canada for 7 months. Apparently, the police report we obtained previously was a local police report that doesn't cover all of Canada. He also requested my original divorce certificate instead of the copy. He said the VISA is approved once he receives these 2 documents. We now have the 2 documents and we are sending them via TNT to the embassy.
Sent the 2 original documents on April 5 and we received the passport with VISA on April 12,2019

Event Description

Embassy Review : Very smooth process. You wait on the other side of the road until they let you in. Go through security and then sit down until they call you to the window. Wait time was less than 10 minutes. You go up to the window and give the person the documentation that she/he requests. Make sure that the police reports are original as well as the divorce certificate if you were married before.

3 days later they return any original documentation, passport, and the packet for the immigration officer at the point of entry to USA. Don't open the packet as this is for the immigration officer at the point of entry.

The overall interaction was friendly, efficient, and smooth. Excellent experience.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
