Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 28, 2019
Embassy Review : Everyone there has been helpful.

Everything was done smoothly.

Prescreen:
I was asked to submit my BC, Cenomar, Medical, Passport new and old (since I have been in the us for j1 and my old visa is attached in my old passport) and DS260.
He asked for my name, age and my fiance's name age and location.
He asked if I have been in the US and said yes(thats why he asked for my old passport)
I was also asked what is my job and my fiance's.

After that, I was asked to proceed to finger printing.

during the interview:
I was only asked for few questions but the consul didnt ask for any document.

What is your name and your fiance's
What is his job
How did you meet your fiance?
Where is your fiance living now?
Have you been married? and what about your fiance?
Do you have kids? and your fiance?

The interview was so fast and it was less than five minutes.
He handed me some pamphlets and congratulated me.

He saw my big smile and I thanked him.
He replied " You can finally taste a REAL BARBECUE"
I told him I already did and he said, nope, only texas cooks REAL Barbecue".
I then answered, I had one when I had my work and travel in Houston.
He then checked his screen and said "Oh! you've had j1, anyways Congratulations again
Rating : Very Good

I just got lucky that after my medical, i checked usem's calendar and there was one spot for march 28. I rescheduled immediately

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
