Comments : All went smoothly except for transfer of our case from USCIS to NVC which cost us 2 months. Completed and approved in approximately 8.5 months. Had an attorney and was guided through the entire case. Other than missing my wifes' approval from USCIS for 2 months it went very smooth. Glad it's over for now! Good luck to all in the journey! Feel free contact for questions regarding process and Cambodia specifically.

Event Description
Review Date : January 25, 2019
Embassy Review : Showed up 1 hour earlier than appointment. We weren't able to go in until after 9:30. Many people came dressed like normal or overboard (going to a night club). We dressed professionally like to a job interview. We took our number and waited for about 2 hours and got to listen to all the interviews. Just be honest and have more than the required documentation ready and easily accessible for the CO. I labeled each evidence according to type, I even labeled who signed what. While waiting I noticed that I was one of two other couple who had their spouse or fiance there attending the interview. This is probably the single most important take away I had learned from this process. I actually would not accept a new job if they couldn't accommodate the time off for me to attend my wife's interview. Of course, the place I work at now was more than happy to allow me to do this and with pay even though I had only been there for less than 3 months. I think much of the cases are pretty much predetermined based on your application as well as income and your interactions with each other while waiting (think the surveillance camera was there to observe as well). Overall they are professional and courteous. I am glad they are good at what they do and appreciate that they have a tough job ahead of them.
Rating : Very Good

Embassy Review : Lost our approval letter in transit to NVC for 2 months. No explanation had to ask to speak to a supervisor in order to get any traction. Very bad process and disorganized, no one was held accountable for their mistakes.
Harassment Level : Very Poor

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
