Comments : The interview was great.
My appt. was for 8:30.
I arrived at the consulate at 7:15.
There was a whole list of things that you couldn't bring into the building, I would suggest
only bringing your supporting documents.
I was 6th in line.
At 7:45 a guard came out and told us all to have our passports & interview appointment letters ready.
At 7:50 they started letting people, one at a time, into the building for a primary check.
When it was my turn, a lady at the desk reviewd my passport & letter, then gave me a laminated sheet with the number 6 and instructions on it.
I next went through a security check, much like an airport screening. i had to remove my fitbit, and was given a paper receipt for it.
I then took an elevator to the 19th floor.
I sat in a waiting room with other nervous applicants and read the laminated instruction sheet.
All it said were directions on putting your documents together in the order that they wanted.
When my number was called at 8:15, I proceded to a counter, and another agent reviewed my documents and scanned my fingerprints.
This took about 10 mins.
When I was finished the agent told me to take a seat, back in the waiting room. and go into a numbered interview room when my number was called.
Ten mins lated my number was called.
I was surprised to find the room contained a counter, with the interviewer behind a plexi glass window (much like the DMV).
I stood on my side of the window, and the interview began.
I was first asked to take an oath (to tell the truth), and my fingerprints were again scanned.
I was then asked about 5 questions: the date of my marriage, where did we meet, what does my wife do, etc..
The interviewer then said that my visa application is approved, and my passport would be delivered to the address that
I had registered with through their courier service.
I then took the elevator to the lobby, collected my fitbit, at exited the building....out and done at 8:40.
I spent an entire week stressing about the interview, and it was all for not.

Did you receive your passport yet? I had the same interview date as you, and got my visa on September 18. Just wonder whether you got A-number? Seemed we need to pay $220 Immigration fee. They did not give me A-number. Anybody, please help. Thanks a lot!
