Embassy Review : The interview process in Ciudad Juarez was very smooth for my wife.

She arrived in Ciudad Juarez three days prior to her interview date. Two days prior to the interview she had the medical exam in the morning, then the fingerprints and picked up her medical results that same afternoon.

The morning of the scheduled interview date, the officer just verified that she had all the required documents and that everything checked out with the documents, and they rescheduled her to return the following morning for the actual interview.

The interview itself only lasted about 5 minutes. They asked her a few simple identifying questions, our wedding date, and how we met. He then congratulated her, and kept her passport.

She received her passport back 5 days later with the stamped residency page.

Hi! It's a slow process, but we're getting closer. My wife's I-130 was approved on 12/14/18, and we finally received the NVC receipt last Friday, 2/22. Hope you hear something soon!

We got the notice today that our case was closed at NVC and they will be working with the embassy in Ciudad Juarez to schedule the interview appt., but we don't have an interview date yet.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
