Yup , Take every doc you can you never know what they can ask for , In fact my police certificate expired before interview so i got a new one.

No communication in between, Interview date depends upon slot availability at Embassy. Passport was ready for collection after a week after approval, otherwise they let you know which documents are required . During interview they will provide a green paper which have all the instruction and on the mentioned website you will mention which city you will be collecting passport.
