Comments : The visa was first received 2/21/2018 but they made a mistake on the Petitioner's name. So we had to return it back for them to fix the mistake to avoid any issues at the border, that took about 5 working days.

Embassy Review : Hello,

I would first like to say please be mindful of fraudulent people that just lurk around the embassy and don't pay no mind to them. When my fiancé got to the embassy there was a dude at the parking lot that pretended to be an officer and started asking why he came to the embassy. He then asked for the appointment letter and DS-160 confirmation page and told my fiancé that he printed out the wrong information, that they DS-160 confirmation and appointment letter do not correlate for about 30 minutes he kept insisting that the info my fiancé had wasn't the real info until he then said "oh sorry, it is correct but the DS-160 confirmation page should be in colored and not Black and White and he should pay 10,000 naira for it (of course he didn't pay and that's when he realized that the dude didn't know what he was talking about).

Anyways, he got to the gate and they did all the security checks. Got into the embassy and he said it was just him and someone else there for the K1 visa, submitted his passport, Affidavit of support and medicals, he was given a number. There was a window for non-immigrants and another for immigrants, an elderly man came in afterwards(for an immigrant visa) so he had to be attended to first so that extended the time my fiancé had to wait before he got called for his interview. He was finally called for his interview – he said it was for about 10-20 mins or so maybe less but it was too long. The interviewer was a woman. He said he greeted her and she responded nicely, she asked for our photo album and also chat logs and just asked a few questions like where I work, what other countries has he visited or resided at? My fiancé said he was nervous at first but when he got up to the interviewer and she seemed nice he began to cool down.
As for the photo album and chat log... My fiancé said she took the photo album and went through it, she saw a picture of us and my grandma and asked who that was and also asked about a picture of his mum's birthday party. She also went through our chats and asked a couple of questions on there just to confirm what was on there; like what I studied in school, where I work, if I am in a graduate program.

I hope this helps We are thankful to God for His mercies and favor. We pray the same for everyone too, we will all testify in Jesus name. Amen!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
