Consulate Review: Bogota, Colombia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 4, 2018
Embassy Review : The following is a review provided by my Fiance "Yessica" who had the interview

English:

Initially I had my appointment scheduled at 7:30 am on Friday, February 2, it is recommended to arrive one hour before the interview time and I did so, by means of a horn and with the help of the police they call the people of their respective appointments. When I heard the call I got in line, there are two rows, row one is for resident visas and K1, the second row is for tourist visas, student, work, etc.
At the end of the row I entered the filter number 1 where they turn off all cell phones, you can not talk, record or take pictures, besides that they organized me the main documents, followed by that I went through the metal detector, they made me withdraw my jacket and metal items and also pass the belongings by a suitcase scanner, then I went to filter number 2 they went back to review my documents, then I went to filter number 3 where a man through a window checks all your documents and opens the envelope of the medical exams that were completely closed, he organizes one by one the way the consul requires it, there he gave me a file with my turn for my appointment with the consul.
Fortunately I was with a female consul, she was very kind and loved, she told me to swear that everything I was going to say was the truth, that is called "declaration under seriousness of document", then I put my 4 fingers of my left hand on I had a fingerprint reader, and my interview started, I also did the interview in Spanish, she asked me about 8 very specific questions, she asked me for the tax payment papers from my fiancé "taxes", evidence of our relationship, and gave her the respective documents, but she told me to show hermore photos because I did not print enough, then I told her had many more on my cell phone, and she very kindly said yes, then I turned on my cell phone and showed them, I can see approximately 10 photographs, and when she saw pictures of my fiancé actually being in Colombia, she stopped, and handed me the cell phone again, after doing the respective procedure she told me: YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED, You get your visa within the next two weeks, at that time I felt too much happiness and I expressed my gratitude. The only thing i didnt like was there was too many people and that extended my interview til 10am and thats why i give it a rating of 4

Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
