Consulate Review: Mumbai, India
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 29, 2018
Embassy Review : I had interview on 26 March 2018 at 7:15 am.
Reached consulate at 6:30 am the security guard Said wait across the street and we will call you.
At 7 am they let me into the consulate waited in the open area the staff arranged the documents.
Then after security check inside they let me into another building into the consulate.
There was que for token the staff arranged the documents marriage certificate,PCC, IRS and token was issued at 8 am
First the token was called for collection for documents few questions like
Who's calling you?
Is this your both first marriage?
My occupation?
Have I traveled anywhere?
after that at 8:15 the waiting started.
At 9:15 am my token number displayed on the screen.
I went to window
The officer didn't greeted me but everyone else.
I greeted him good morning he just looked at me.
He started questions
How you meet your wife?
Are you guys both married for first time?
Wife's occupation?
Wife's education?
Things I like about my wife?
Then he typed for over 5 mins
Gave me 221g and said wait for 2-3 weeks your case will be in administrative processing.
He was very rude and unprofessional.
I asked him what is the process and what's the issue he said we will let you know.
Just leave the consulate
Rating : Very Poor

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
