Embassy Review : I had my interview scheduled for 8.30 am, i reached the embassy enclave around 7.15 - took a cab (cost: 1000Rs) and reached around 7.35ish at the US Embassy. They do all the security checks and then had to wait around 11.30-12 for my turn. The officer asked me A LOT of questions since I had already been to US on visit visa, then student and then I also worked in US on my work visa. He asked me a lot of questions related to that. For wedding related, he asked me how I met my husband, how do I know him, where was our wedding?, how many times has he visited and saw the pictures.

I suppose my interview was a little longer than normal because of all my trips to the US, otherwise it seemed pretty straight forward and its quiet easy if your documentation if CORRECT! After the interview the officer told me my visa is approved and I should get in 5-10 days. However, on the fifth day Embassy emailed and asked for 2x2 pictures of me (I am guessing because the one I submitted might not be upto the standards) - they took three weeks after that to issue the visa and my status changed to Issued.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
