4/5: This has been stressful. We never received anything in the mail from the consulate regarding documentation to bring after receiving the NOA 2. We had to finally seek out the consulate after getting advice from a Visa Journey member as our I-129 was close to expiring. 30 days before our expiration we scrambled to get everything submitted and scheduled. This has been a nightmare so far. My fiance took the unsigned version of the I-134, so after the interview I had to email the signed version. Now we're stuck in AP.
4/23/18- Our status changed to ISSUED!!! |

Embassy Review : |
My fiance's interview was 3/27 at 10:00 am. He got there early. He said he waited about 45 minutes. He said the interview went quickly and the lady that interviewed him was Pleasant and organized. He was asked about my daughter, what I did for a living, what our wedding plans were and if we had enough time to get them done. She asked if his family would be able to attend the wedding. He was asked where we met. The total of the interview lasted about 15 minutes. They took his passport and told him he'd get an email in a couple of weeks.
He didn't print the correct I-134 that I sent him so I had to email it to the consulate afterward, which stressed me out but hopefully that won't delay us too long.
Another of our Visa journey members had their interview at the same time and saw him there, which was really cool to be able to tell him afterward. I love having this comradery. |

Timeline Comments: 3How long did it take to get your interview for I-485?
Not long. Less than 4 months. Then it was approved the same day.
That is great!!!! My husband just did biometrics, his status says ready for interview. I pray his goes as fast. I’m in Florida.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
