Comments : Took flight from Kingston to Fort Lauderdale process was not long about 10/15minutes tops
Got in line at the Customs Border Patrol, Officer was really nice and asked by he didn't have me move to Jamaica, I told him because the husband wouldn't allow it (we all laughed), he took the husbands picture and passport, handed me my passport and was told to wait for the husband in baggage claim, wouldn't allow anyone with him in the room
My husband stated that he was in the room, it was five other people in there, two ladies that were in the room had overstayed and they took them to another area, and once they came back in they just stamped his passport and told him welcome to america...no questions asked
But when i looked at the stamp it said CR1 and not IR1.. we then asked the officer if the CR1 could be changed since we have past the two year mark...he stated that we had to call USCIS to see it can be converted prior to getting the green card...so now I have to call and find out but with this COVID 19 virus it will take some time to see....Overall the process was good

Consulate Review: Jamaica
Review Topic: General Review
Event Description
Review Date : February 1, 2020
Embassy Review : Headed to the Embassy by taxi about 550am for a 7 am appointment, reached the Embassy at about 615 am
Stood in a crowd directly across the street from the embassy were they call all those for a certain appointment time
Got in line and making sure I had everything in our binder...I forgot my passport and could not go in with my husband for the interview( I was so upset with myself)
FYI, when they call you for your appointment time they line you up and give you clear instructions on what is allowed and not allowed in the embassy, so make sure you have what you need for the interview and nothing else extra, I have seen people being told to go and get rid of things (whether its throwing it away in the trash cans located outside the embassy to having the people that will hold your things for money.

Anyway after about 9 am husband came out and got a taxi to come home and he didn't tell me anything until we got home(he play too much)
but he said the white gentleman he had at #4 was very cool and laid back...My husband stated that it was like chatting with a friend
He asked him:
Who is petitioning for him? My wife
Where is your wife? She is outside waiting because she forgot her ID (officer: yea you gotta have you id to get in here)
How many children does your wife have? Three
How many children do you and your wife have? None yet
What will you do when you go to the States? Im going to get a job and work
Gave him a paper about his rights in the US and told him how its not good to get on any government assistance
My husband told him I have heard about that on tv....they both laughed
Told him good luck and he will be a good stepdad...my husband said naw not stepdad, those are my kids
Officer stated that's what I like to hear

Overall, according to my husband the interview when very well and all the staff was pretty nice

Rating : Good

I have a question? What is the Packet 3/4 do they send you that with instructions or something?
SNJOHNSON on 2019-12-18 said:
So I don’t know what the 3rd package is but I just put in the dates that I created the online account (not required yet for you) but the package 4 is the letter from the embassy that states appointment information and a checklist and such.
blank avatar RochelleRJ on 2019-12-18 said:
Oh okay thanks for that...cause I was like no more paperwork please....LOL
SNJOHNSON on 2019-12-18 said:
Lol definitely no more paperwork on our end. I would suggest that you prefill the medical form as you can download from the hospitals website. My husband just printed it off and signed it and took it with him. That made his process easier as he didn’t have to do it when he got there. They kind of pushed him through quicker since he had all documents in hand.
blank avatar RochelleRJ on 2019-12-18 said:
Yes I had the medical form printed out in the beginning...LOL Girl I filled out some of it but he will fill out the rest....I should have filled it out for him ( you know men) But I will let him know...I already told him to get his passport photos done
SNJOHNSON on 2019-12-18 said:
Yes girl I filled out the form so he didn’t have to do anything but sign!! Not to leave out that he had to call me after he printed and was like what I’m supposed to do. Men!!! He is going to need 4 for medical they only take 2 from you and the interview letter says he needs 8 for interview.
blank avatar RochelleRJ on 2019-12-23 said:
Congrats on the approval!!!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
