Comments : We had our interview June 29, 2018. The interviewer was very nice and asked basic questions about things like our prior marriages, reasons we divorced, how we met, had we met each others families, how our marriage was working out, etc. The only thing missing was record of her vaccines. The K-1 packet (the sealed one that was taken from my wife at the airport last year) had not been shipped to the interviewer prior to our appointment. She said that we had passed the interview and that as soon as she could see the K-1 packet and verify the vaccine record, she would approve the green card. It was approved exactly 2 weeks after the interview. She received her Green card 3 weeks after the interview.

Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 30, 2017
Embassy Review : She waited about 1 hour and 45 minutes before being called in for her interview. She said the interview only lasted about 10 minutes. The interviewer asked questions like when did we see each other last. Had we met each others families. What kind of work I do. She was told that she was approved and that her passport would be returned to her within 1 week with the K-1 visa attached. They were very friendly to her and it was an easy experience.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
