Consulate Review: Sweden
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 6, 2017
Embassy Review : I arrived to the embassy in Stockholm Sweden at 7:38 in the morning and i was the first in line.
Co-sponsor situation: Because my fiance did not meet the income requirements we had to use her mother as a co-sponsor. These are some of the papers they wanted as proof from her mother.
1. Proof of Naturalization and citizenship (we photocopied her mothers naturalization certificate)
2. 6 months of her mothers and my fiancees bank statements of all accounts
3. A color copy of the Biographical page of her mothers passport
4. 3 years of her mothers Taxes
I stood in the Non-Imigrant line. This is the line outside in the open, not the line covered in glass that looks like a bus shelter
At about 8: 10 the guard called me and i could go to the security check. I had to take of my jacket and show what i had in my bag. I also had to show him the bottom of my shoes before entering the builsing.

Then they told me to follow the yellow line in to the next building there one guard told me to go to windows 7. There was a officer that collected all my papers and also informed me that this wasn´t the interview. He ask how we met, and what I did for living. He told me that they will call my name and that i will have my real interview as soon the are done with my paper. After 30 min waiting the finally called my name and i walked to windows 4 there it was an officer that started and pointed at one picture and ask who that was. I told him that that is my fiance. I did notice he tried to confuse me a little bit just to test me. He would first ask me how we met then would quickly bounce to another questions then back to how we met. He almost forgot to make me swear an oath so before we could continiue he ask me to lift my right hand and read the text that they had on the window. He only asked 3-5 questions total.
He told me that i was approved and they will send med the passport in 5 days.
The whole process took a little over an hour in Stockholm Sweden.
Stay positive during this process. I hope this process goes well for you guys that are honestly using this process.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
