Comments : Had his medical on Nov. 17th but had to undergo sputum culture. So additional 8-10 weeks. Got his medical result on Feb. 8 and had his vaccine the next day. Scheduled his interview on Feb. 21st. Received a 221g because of name change. His birth certificate was missing a letter, he corrected it. Never thought that they will ask an NBI clearance from his corrected name. He went to NBI, he was told it will be available in 2 weeks but he got it done in 48 hours (with connection) after his interview. USEM received it on Feb 25th. They opened his case on the 28th, it was on AP on March 2nd in the morning. But checked it again around 3:30pm and it says issued. Looking at this VJ timeline, we still have a long way to go but I'm glad there's a lot of support on this visa journey.

Member Reviews:

Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 19, 2017
Embassy Review : Everybody are very nice. The interview was fast and easy but the line is too long so it took him almost 4 hours before he got out of USEM. But overall experience was great.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Newark
Event Description
Entry Date : 2017-04-18
Embassy Review : It took him almost 2 hours before he got out of immigration office. He said it was nerve wrecking since he was the last one that they called. Other than that I guess it was ok.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
