Event Description

Embassy Review : Quick update for everyone here on VJ! Praise God for smooth and easy approval of our visa. We will give our review here to give updates for the next interviewees. I brought my mom with me and she waited me outside. took me 1hour 40 mins include waiting.

Appointment at 10am, trafffic was bad so I arrived at 9:52am and quickly told the guard my appointment is 10am for immigrant visa so she got me in line. Normal procedures, checked my bag and took my electronic gadgets. At 10am, I was able to sat and relaxed. I was 6th among the immigrant appointments. I was so nervous but just prayed that God will guide me. Was able to talked to another K1 applicant (hi ate Jee). Anyway when it was my turn, at window 7, the chinese CO asked my requirements; (passport, 2 passport pictures, birth certificate with photocopy, COC, NBI clearance, I-134, W2, employment letter). asked about me and my fiance's status. I said both single. Asked another evidence of income, not sure about it so I said I have his pay stubs here too so he said yes that's fine. He looked closely his income and records. I said he just started his job last year. Then looked for my medical and some other documents. He said you're actually good to go. So he told me to sit and wait for my turn for the other CO for final interview. Gave me the aramex paper in case I needed to submit other documents and the pamphlet for domestic violence to read.

After like 15mins, I was called at window 8. The chinese lady CO interviwed me, fingerprinting and oath.
CO: Hi how are you?
Me: Good!How are you?
CO: You were denied by tourist visa last year?
Me: Yes and explained (I applied last year to visit him and meet his family but was denied)
CO: Ok, How long you knew him? answered
CO: How you met? answered
CO: When did you met and where did you go? answered
CO: Where is he living now? answered
CO: What is his job? answered
CO: Do you have his bank statement?
Me: YEs (gave to her)
CO: What's your wedding plans?answered
CO: Looks like you have already planned everything. You're good to go. You will get your visa in 2 weeks.
ME: thank you so much!

She didn't ask any other documents. Make sure you prepare all the documents ahead. other applicants were asked to show certificate of no marriage in singapore but I wasn't. But I have it with me. Thankful to all the people here on VJ. Special mention to mmagic who answered all my questions and ate Kristine! Good luck and God bless everyone!

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
