Embassy Review : |
Our original AOS interview was scheduled for September, and we waited nearly two hours in the waiting area before being called in and told that our file had not arrived (we moved from Maryland, so that seemed to cause the delay). At the re-scheduled interview in November, everything went smoothly. We did not have to wait long and all of the questions were what we expected. The officer who did our interview was very professional and friendly. She went over our original application and verified some information. She then asked how we met and we showed pictures from our relationship, as well as our wedding photo album. She kept the photos we brought and made a copy from the wedding album. The documents showing proof of relationship (bank statements, lease, etc) were almost an afterthought, but she made copies of all of those as well. At the end, she told us that we were approved and gave us the instructions for removing conditions in two years!
We parked in the Horton Plaza mall garage, which had plenty of open spaces. If you buy anything at Jimbo's (grocery store) they will validate your parking, so it wasn't very expensive. It's a bit of a walk to the USCIS office but is manageable. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
