Consulate Review: Singapore
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 26, 2016
Embassy Review : Whole process lasted less than an hour.
Waiting time was about 30 minutes and interview was about 10 minutes.

They were really grilling the lady before me because she could not speak English well and she kept getting dates wrong. They were really nice with me though.

First lady at the counter checked my documents in the following order:
1. Passport
2. Birth cert
3. Police clearance
4. Passport photos
5. Form I-134, Affidavit of Support

Questions asked:
1. What is your fiance's occupation?
2. How long has he been working at his current occupation?
3. Have either of you ever been married?
4. Do either of you have any children including adopted children?

Interview with CO, questions asked:
1. Is this you? (Refers to my passport)
2. Where did you and your fiance meet?
3. Where in the US does he live?
4. What is his current occupation?
5. How long has he been working at his current occupation?
6. What was his previous occupation?
7. Have you met in person? How many times and when?
8. How often do you talk to one another?
9. What app do you use to chat?

At the end of the session, the CO smiled and said that everything looked good and I should expect to receive my passport in 2 weeks or so.

I was not asked for any other proof/evidence of an ongoing relationship.

Hope this helps!

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
