Consulate Review: Bogota, Colombia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 7, 2016
Embassy Review : The interview process seemed like it took forever, we sat down at a booth with a glass partition and spoke via a phone. Similar to what you see on TV when people make prison visits. The questions were straight forward, but they ask them very quickly and really don't give you a chance to think. Where did you meet, when, how many times have you seen each other, where are you going to live, what type of work does your fiancee do, how many kids does he have, was he married before, how many times has he been divorced. Where is he right now, are you going to live with him. So the questions are straight forward, BUT then they asked my daughter some of the same questions which made her feel uncomfortable. I understand its a process and must be done, so all in all it was OK. At the end of the interview, the consulate wished us a great trip and life in the U.S. and said our visa was approved.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
