Consulate Review: Montreal, Canada
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 2, 2016
Embassy Review : Hey!

So I just had my medical (Aug 17th) and interview (Aug 24th).

For the medical I needed:
- 5 passport photos
- passport
- packet 4 email from Montreal consulate
- confirmation of interview appointment
- vaccination records (not necessary but helpful)

My medical was at 10am and I was done by noon and able to pick up my results on Monday Aug 22nd.

For the interview they asked for:
- DS-160 confirmation with the barcode (at the entrance to the consulate)
- Passport + photocopy of biographic page of passport
- Interview appointment receipt/Proof of payment (same email from Yatri that I used for the medical)
- 2 passport photos
- Sealed medical results
- Birth certificate + photocopy
- Police background check (I had the one that you can just get online and it was fine)
- I-134 + tax transcript from 2015
- Letter of intent to marry

I had a lot more documents to support the I-134 but they only wanted the 2015 transcript. I also had proof of ongoing relationship (5 pictures + some chatlogs) but they didn't ask for it. And I had her new lease as proof of residence but they also didn't ask for that.
My interview was schedule for 7:45 but I lined up at 7am and I was second in line. I was out of there by 8:30am.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
