Comments : Hi VJ members!

Just to share my experience during my visa process. I know a lot of people who shared their experiences have helped me a lot.

My medical at SLEC was great and did it for 2 days. First day, i went through physical exam and vaccines. I got there at before 6am and number is already 50 in line. But all is good when i got the result the next day. They stamped "N" on my passport. Not sure what it means but i assume it was normal then.

During my visa interview, everything went well. Since i brought every pieceof documents that i may be possible to show and i ended up been asked of my passport and his passport, my annulment and my fiancé's divorce paper. The consuls didn't asked for any of our financial papers nor our photos and evidences together. I may just got lucky and blessed. In the final interview, i was asked if how we met and talked more about Hawaii and that's it. The most awaiting part was when the consul in the final window whispered to me that i am approved! The most wonderful day i ever felt :)

Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level :
Comments : Immigration process went well except that i stayed there for 3 hours of waiting.

They stamped my passport the expiry date of my visa then asked where will i stay here and when is the wedding.

Note: Hawaii airport doesn't have wifi so you should have your own phone that works here or atleast a coin to use the telephone booth. No one helped me changed my bill so i can call my fiance after 3hours not hearing from me since the plane landed. Other than that, immigration officers were nice.

Greencard Received: 2016-11-05
Comments : Our immigration officer was a very nice and kind oldman. He kept on reminding us that we should write down the expiry date of my greencard and talked about how life would be in US. He just asked for our wedding photos and any accounts together (costco card, phone bill and bank account). He didn't asked for any proof of income nor my medical. After the 30 minute interview, he just asked us if we will be in the same home address and never said we are approved. It left us wondering and a bit anxious until i got my card in the mail :)..but note, its been after 1 1/2month after the interview. I got approved that same day also but they just did not update our status online. However, i am still relieved, feel grateful and very blessed how the length of time for my visa and greencard process took only around 9months total...

I hope you find my share helpful. Good luck and Godbless to all applicants.

More power to VJ..thank you very much for the help! :)

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
