Event Description

Embassy Review : We went in for the visa interview at 8am. As we approached the embassy on foot the locals were pasteing on the visa photos for a few soles (money). I skipped the service because I knew the consolate had glue to do that. Anyway the lady that took the forms asked why they were not pasted and we told her that it was not stated to do that and she nodded and reluctantly pasted them on the ds-156 forms.

Of course we arrived at 7:20 am and were admitted early. I am the US citizen and i followed my fiancee as she was requested. First the ds-134 and financial papers and next the photos ...of course I was present so that helps alot in Peru...Or so I've heard. The final window call was about 2 hours into the visit and he simply asked me why I wanted to marry her and her why she loved me. Then he spoke in spanish, which I'm still learning, to her two girls. He told them about Florida and ended with... "Have fun in Florida". We then took the DHL slips to the DHL counter and paid the 5 bucks and picked up the 3 visas in 2 days at the local DHL office.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
