Consulate Review: New Delhi, India
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 6, 2016
Embassy Review : First of all many thanks to the visa journey community and the knowledge i gained to get my visa approved. Its an obligation on me now that i share the useful information and contribute for learning.
The checklist for i129f on visa journey is exhaustive.please follow it and get your nao2
Next main form is ds160 fill it carefully. Even if you have made any mistakes in past this is your last chance to make those changes and match every detail with your passport
Next is payment receipt of visa fees use the ds160 and payment to get both the appointments for biometric and counsualar interview.
Make sure the printout of ds160 confirmation has the barcodes. I carried the following papers

1. Appointment letter

2. DS-160 confirmation

3. Visa fees payments receipt

4. Intent to marry signed within last 30 days for both.

5. Approved I-129 f

6. Original I-134 affidavit of support

7. Naturalization certificate

8. Divorce decree for petitioner

9. EVIDENCE OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT

a. Bank statements

b. Income tax

c. Brokerage

d. Property records

e. Employment details & Pay stubs

f. Mortgage statement

10. Police clearance certificate (original only) from RPO

11. Passport scans for k1 k2 and petitioner

12. Birth Certificate (original, English translation, and photocopy)

13. Divorce certificate

14. Previous MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE for petitioner and beneficiary

15. Proof of relationship

a. Call logs

b. Passport stamps

c. Album of 40 Pictures with fiancé and both families

16. School leaving for k2

17. Matriculation

18. Medical for K1 K2

19. Two photographs 2X2 for K1 K2

20. Medical examination report from a U.S. approved panel physician

21. Passports
The main inteview : we were scheduled for 9am but we reached at 8am and the guards let us in.
Get into immigration line and not in any other
Only papers were collecred were ds160 birth original and photocopy. Payment receipt pcc n medical. Thats all no other paper album was taken except for a photo copy of my divorce.
Question to me
Who is calling you
When and how did you meet.
What are ages of his children
Why he got divorced ..to this i told compatibility issues.and sd that's what he told me. I mentioned that they lived 20 years together to bring up the children.
She asked the year of his divorce
Whereabouts of my ex and do i have permit to take my kids. I sd i have but my kids are already above 18.
Counslar asked me that i have been to so many countries and did i live anywhere more than 6 months.
To my daughter
Have you met my fiance. My daughter gave the details of the trip we took.
To my son
Do you know the plans of your mother to get married
My son said no! The Counslar looked at me and i asked my son that you know inam getting married. ..he sd yes yes yes but i dont know which date.
Where are you going . He told. What will you do there. He said he will probably go to college
Congratulations your visa is approved you can collect it in 7 days.
We were really prepared with every paper i could think of. But they didnt see a thing. Not even my pics which i was eager to show.
Young girls were asked to show huge albums of marriage...i mean really huge.
One guy was sent back as he didn't have anything to show.
We were really confident and dressed formally. The body language posture and overall confidence you gain is from the reality and conviction of your case.
I have learnt from the forums of visa journey and our visas were approved with the support and guidance of you all.
So a big thank you....

Embassy Review : Very very good experience. We had 2 dogs do we wanted to be out asap. We were guided at every step. Our stuff was not manually checked.every step there were people who already knew we had dogs.
We did biometric then passport was stamped. Then doggie paper was stamped.we just walked towards luggage. .someone came to us wid doggie information on their own...im really impressed with pet service of luftansa and arrangements of seattle airport
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
