A certified copy of a marriage certificate in TX is only $7. Received 30 minutes after the ceremony. Wedding cost $40 and the marriage license is $41 is anyone is keeping track of these things!

Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : San Francisco
POE Date : 2007-01-27
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 5
Comments : Everyone was polite, but no regard for having to catch a connecting flight. 1 hour and 10 minutes to go through secondary processing. I was the only person to go through secondary processing that had another flight to catch. Even the airline asked if the officer could take me first because of the connecting flight, but they said no. Even the other immigrants said I should go first!!!

Same questions we have answered many times. Everyone is polite, but the waste of time is annoying.

I was able to get the EAD stamp, but declined because it would have taken a few hours (which does not make sense), but anyone can get the stamp here at this airport if they have the time and can wait.

Event Description

Embassy Review : 0745 - arrive at Embassy (for a 0730 appointment)
0730 - inside

*** 10 people appointed for K-1 visa interview at 7:30 am??? HOW STUPID IS THIS? ***

0845 - submitted documentation at window 5

1100 - called for interview at window 6
- Four questions; one asked 2x
1. How did you meet your Fiance?
2. When was the last time you saw your Fiance?
3. When is the fist time you met your Fiance?
4. When will you travel to the USA?
[asked again even though answered and understood the first time]

1120 - interview completed.

Note that no one spoke Thai in the entire process, everything was in english.
The man doing the interview was very serious.

This embassy gets a low rating simply because there is no need to require someone to arrive at a time and then wait 3-1/2 hours to actually have the interview. All of these documents could be mailed to the embassy and then everyone can show up at an appointed time. 4 HOURS IS STUPID.

By the way, the woman prior was not asked any questions in her interview. The non-interview interview!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
