Entire process took about a month (after you have your official marriage certificate...which takes about 2 months to get in CR)!! I highly reccommend DCF (if you are already married) because he/she should receive their border stamp and a SSN card within a few weeks after arrival in the U.S. We had a slight problem between our second interview and getting the visa. They said a person with a similar name was a criminal in the U.S. and so they said Jose needed an additional background check which took about a week. Processing Estimates/Stats : Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between December 20, 2007 and December 21, 2007*. If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline. Your interview took 21 days from your I-130 NOA1 date.

Port of Entry Review Event Date Port of Entry : Chicago POE Date : 2007-01-02 Submit Review Got EAD Stamp : Yes,Passport Stamp Biometrics Taken : Yes Harassment Level : 0 Comments : POE was no problem. Took about 10 minutes and got the stamp. Another problem with SSN, it is supposed to come within 2 weeks, but his took about 2 months because the people at the border never forwarded the paperwork to the SSN people (which they are supposed to if you check the box on the visa application to be automatically be applied for a SSN)
