Comments : Update 07/2019: Was asked to provide biometrics.

Update 03/2019: Got a letter from USCIS that they do not need by biometrics. They will use the biometrics they took last time instead.

Update: Case shows up on status page after a month (maybe a little more). But if you create a DHS account and login then you can see your case right away.

After about 75 days of my case filing got my NOA (i-797). It can take some time and you have to be very patient. But do call and check for status. My case does not show on case status page also. But got my notice

(The NOA date on my timeline is wrong as VJ wont let me put in a date later than one month)

Consulate Review: Islamabad, Pakistan
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 26, 2016
Embassy Review : Had my interview in Dec 2015. Arrived in the embassy early in the morning (6:30am) and the booking for shuttle service opened at 7 and me and my fiancee were the first ones to get on the shuttle. Arrived embassy at 7:30am where we cleared the security check and were asked for our interview letter. We were given a token number. Around 8:30am I was called for my fingerprints and photo. Half hour after that I was called and was asked for my medical report. After another half hour I was called to submit the fees. After about 45 more minutes I was called in for interview. The interview went well and I was asked normal questions, like what my fiancee does for a living, where she studied and how we met. That is it. I was told "everything looks good" and I would have to wait 4 weeks to get my visa. 6 weeks after the interview I got my visa . Everything at the embassy was so organized and systematic and there were no problems that we faced. Everyone was so nice and helpful.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
