Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : JFK
POE Date : 2016-03-15 Submit Review
Got EAD Stamp : Yes,Passport Stamp
Biometrics Taken : No
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : POE was easy. I was told which line to join. The gentleman at the counter was pleasant. He took my package opened it took out the documents and then escort me to the Homeland Security Office. The officer was pleasant. After looking through my paperwork he informed me I had to get married before the three months were up, stamped my passport and then handed it to me. From handing the first officer my package to the second officer took between 10 and 15 minutes. My original birth certificate was in the package when I asked the officer if they would be return it he said they would mail it. I later found out I had to filed a G-884 to USCIS to have them return.

Got I551 Stamp : No
Greencard Received: 2016-10-14
Comments : My AOS was approved faster than I expected. I got my card card in less than four months of sending my aos package. I followed the "Visajourney step-by- step- guide. The only thing I did differently was I mailed three cover letters. The first cover letter was mailed with the completed AOS form ( and its supporting documents as stated in the guide, the affidavit of support with its supporting documents. The second cover letter covered the AP form and it's supporting documents. And the third cover letter with the EAD form and it's supporting documents. Also with the three different section to my package I include two photos each. So in my entire AOS package I had three cover letters and 6 passport size was. I also included three G-1145 in each section of my AOS package. I followed all the other steps in the guide. My husband thought I was was going overboard but better safe than sorry I always say. It's obvious I was on the right path.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
