Embassy Review : |
I had my interview for the K1-Visa at the consulate in Frankfurt yesterday and was surprised how easy everything was.
Incl. security check, having fingerprints taken and interview it took me about 1,5hrs - had my interview at 07:30am and was out by 09:00am. The interview itself was super easy, the vice consulate was so nice and it was more like a chat.
Questions asked:
- How did you meet?
- When did you meet in person for the first time?
- How did he propose?
- Has he ever been to Germany?
I would recommend to leave everything (keys, wallet etc.) at the hotel; I only needed my documents and passport. Other people who were at the consulate had some problems at the security check, apparently they had "EC-Karten" with them they weren't allowed to bring.
The experience I had was great! The staff was in general very friendly and helpful! I was quite nervous the night before but turns out there was absolutely no need at all. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
