Event Description

Embassy Review : He had a short wait and they called him up to the window. They asked for his passport, birth certificate, police record, then they proceeded to take his finger prints.

Interview: The inspector was cordial but not nice. The interview was conducted in English, was not asked if preferred English or Arabic. The entire interview lasted 30 minutes. Be prepared for some hard questions. He asked the same questions in several different types of ways. We suspect to see if my fiancé would answer the same each time.

Example of some questions asked:
Fiancée mother and father name
Fiancée have any brother and sisters?
Where does your fiancée work?
What type of work does she do?
Did she attend college?
IF you have been married before, prepare your fiancé for many questions concerning your previous marriage.
Why did they divorce?
Where did your fiancé meet her ex-husband?
How long was this marriage?
Why do you think your marriage will last and her previous marriage did not?
Do you know her ex-husband?

Questions that we were expecting was never ever asked! So all we can say is make sure your fiancée knows every little detail about you and your life. Nothing is off limits on the questions they can ask. My fiancée said, just listen close to each question and if you do not understand the question just ask the interviewer to repeat it. Answer each question with the shortest answer possible.

At the end of the interview, the inspector said you will be contacted with an answer. My fiancé asked so am I approved??? The inspector said you will be contacted with an answer. My fiancé said how will I be contacted? He said you will be contacted with an answer. He never would give a straight answer. VERY frustrating!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
