We had to contact the US Consulate General in HCM City via their online inquiry form for Immigration Visa (Note: not Non-Immigration Visa) to inquire about whether they had received our case package from NVC. They responded via email in a few hours with our package 3 - The day after we paid the visa fee, we went to www.ustraveldocs.com/vn to schedule our interview (for K-type visa, make sure you select immigration visa type). We happened to notice there was a spot opening on July 8, so we booked that. If it wasn't for that, our interview date would have been scheduled for July 28. - Note: Date Rec Appointment Letter (Pkt 4) was the date we booked our interview appointment. |

NOA Date for I-485 is the date I received email notification of the official NOA with Case number. Official paper NOA arrives at a later date. Interview was brief (about 15min), and we were only asked to show proof of marriage (certified copy of marriage certificate). Most of the other proofs (shared bank accounts, utility bills, etc.) were already submitted along with the original AOS application submission. |

Process of getting finger printed and interviewed to remove conditions is taking so long that we are still waiting for biometrics appointment. However, since we've already gotten interview scheduled for N-400, lifting of conditions would become N/A or it would be adjudicated at the same time of N-400 decision. The date for biometrics and interview here are the dates we got scheduled for N-400. |

At the time of N-400 interview, we were first interviewed for removal of condition of residency, then the N-400 interview came right after. The same agent administered both interviews. It's worth to mention here that we never knew about the interview for removal of condition of residency because we were only contacted for N-400 interview. However, since the permanent green card application was transferred to the same office that takes care of the N-400, we assumed USCIS would adjudicate both at the same time. That was why we came to our N-400 interview prepared for both interviews. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
