Local US CIS Office Review: San Bernadino CA

Event Description
Review Date : December 4, 2015
Embassy Review : We arrived at the San Bernardino office 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. Got through security fast. My wife (USC) and I were instructed to go to the second floor and leave our appointment paper in the box by the front desk.

Our appointment time was 8:55 and got there 8:30 and waited quite a long while.

After 2 hours, mid-50's IO called my name for the interview. He was very nice and polite. When we got inside his office, he swore us in.

The interview itself was quick and smooth.

I was only asked the following questions:

Name
Address
Birthday
The I-485 questions about organization, criminal records and whatnot which I all answered with NO politely with a smile.

He then proceeded to ask me where I met my wife. IO then asked my wife if this was her first marriage and if she had kids then asked me the same questions.

After that he went to ask for additional documents like utility bills where both our names can be found.

A few minutes spent on the computer and 2 printed pages after, he congratulated us for approved AOS. He then explained I was given conditional status which I can change 90 days before 2 year anniversary of AOS approval and I can apply for citizenship after a year (3 years after AOS approval).

The San Bernardino interview was breezy.

Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
