Comments : I'ts been incredibly smooth process all the way to the interview, flight tix,and early touchdown at Phoenix Sky Harbor! I know that I had stuffed the Embassy packet with as much "evidence" as it would hold.

Larisa is on cloud 9! haha. She says often she's totally in love with Tucson and Arizona. Thank God! Even with only very basic English she seems to pick up words with only a few repeats to get the pronunciation correct.

WE went to the Social Security Office, but evidently her I-94 form number has not yet appeared in their system.

I have found that we do have some different food tastes, although it might just be personal and not cultural. Our oatmeal and especially "Steel Cut" type is not like "real" oatmeal in Russia". This she says without trying it, And the same with some other foods. So you might be prepared to be very flexible and have extra refrigerator space.
As far as translations, we both can feel frustration that some translations just do not pass on the true meanings of what we want to convey.
But we smile and laugh all the time because it goes both ways..... and we understand it will take time.
I would say that what I've read and been told about Russian women is right on! And I'm incredibly happy with this wonderful, beautiful, very loving woman:-)

Comments : Most everything has moved quite smoothly with no speed bumps except that I actually forgot to sign the last page of the I-485!! ha ha. Otherwise, we had our interview in less that 90 days!
To our surprise, the interviewer only wanted to speak with Larisa (she also brought her friend as an interpreter just in case). I never was called into the room nor did he need our documents. They walked out in to waiting room with big smiles in just 30 minutes ...and that was that!! We now expect to receive her Green Card in 30 days!
We give immense thanks to Visa Journey and individual members for advice and step by step planning. It was time-consuming but really quite easy.

Embassy Review : Larisa:
I was very worried how the interview at the Embassy would go. I should not of worried. I was alone with the American Consul in a small room, behind glass. She was a woman. Her attitude towards me was very friendly:-).
The questions were in Russian. She spoke very beautiful Russian with an American accent. She asked the usual questions of how, when, and where did you meet?." "What is the name of your Fiance and when was he born?." "Did you introduce him to your family?" "He was married?" "Who are these cute children in the photo?"
Then she said "Congratulations! Your American visa is approved! Your visa and passport will be sent by courier within a week at the specified address". And it was so!
I said to her in English "Nice to meet you"! And she answered me too in English "Nice to meet you too" !
I prepared for an interview in English for a year! I had to say something in English ! ha ha

The interview took just 7 minutes !! :-) ))
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
