Comments : My daughter and I got to the visa interview to the American embassy in Guyana at about 7:30 , interview was at 8:30. There was no waiting line outside so We got thru security quickly and was seated inside the building. I was a nervous reck😊 . At 8:30 our names were called , we got to the window and handed in the documents that's she asked for ,and she gives me a domestic violence pamphlet and told me to read it. she told my daughter happy pre birthday , my daughter's birthday was a day away ( she was very nice) she took my finger prints electronically but she didn't take my daughter's cause she is under age. She then returned the documents I gives her and some documents they had obtained from nvc that the didn't need anymore. We were told to have a seat until we heard our names again. About 30 mins passed and they called again for us at a different window. At that window the interview began ,we were asked for some documents, and she questioned us . Simple questions she asked if I read the domestic violence pamphlet I got and if I have any questions, about my relationship with my husband, how we met, when we met , how many time he had been to Guyana to see us , about the wedding . Those were my questions, then she asked my daughter ,what does she call my husband , if it's by his name ? If it's dad? Etc. My daughter answered and the interview was over. She said ur visas as been approved and told us when to return to pick our passports up. She gives us back some more documents and a pink slip( I think that was the color). We were out of the embassy before 10:00, my mom was outside waiting for us and I called and gives my husband the good news 😁 👏💃🏽. He booked our flight the same day for the 9th April 2015. We got our visas on the 8th April 2015.💙💚💛💜 I hope this helps somebody, I know the process could be long and frustrating but be patient and have faith it's worth it. God Is In Charge And All Is Well.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
