Event Description

Embassy Review : My husband and I had our interview on June 7th 2006. I had submitted DS-230 part I and documentation in April/May for prescreening and I was done with all the medical. My husband submitted the petition and the affidavit of support at the interview. We had the appointement at 9 am, showed up at 8.30 to go through security, turned in our papers, forms and passports, payed all the fees. We waited for a while they processed our papers and the background check for my husband; and then there was a short interview.

All our preparations were rewarded: Petition and my application approved and I could pick up the visa the day after! We were done at 9.30 am!

Nice and helpfull people working at the embassy, only reason they get one less star is that the information they gave us via e-mail and telephone during the process was confusing and changing from week to week... And they would say in our phonecalls that they hadn't received papers I had sent them, which of course caused some anxiety for me...

But in the end all turned out very well and the interview process at the embassy was very efficient and pleasent!
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
