Request for evidence request for proof of intent to marry. There was a statement from me but nothing from the beneficiary. I sent them the nine pages of Facebook entries (I proposed to her on Facebook) and a letter that she wrote and faxed to me stating her intention to marry me within seven days of her arrival. It was approved within three weeks and they accepted a scanned copy of her commitment to marry me.
Have all of the paperwork done as soon as you get the approval notice from Home Land Security.
As soon as you get the Department of State case number, have her pay the fee and schedule an appointment. They are running a little over a month but once in a while quick appointments appear, possibly due to other people rescheduling.
Pay the fee and request the appointment without waiting for the Consulate to send her the contact letter. As soon as the National Visa Center gives you the MNL case number, have the fiance go right into BPI, pay the fee and then you can fill out her application for her online from the US.
She also needs a counseling certificate from Commission on Filipinos Overseas. She can attend the seminar before she gets her visa and come back with the visa to get the sticker. She can't take the physical until she applies online for the visa. She can register with Saint Lke's online and then just walk in, it needs to be at least a week before her interview and should be as soon as she pays the application fee and fills out the application for a visa online and makes her appointment
The American can fill the papers out for her online if she doesn't have internet access. If there is a mistake she should tell the truth that her fiance filled out the application and he made some mistakes.
We didn't wait for the letter from the consulate or instructions, I got copies on the internet and did everything for her.

From my fiance.
It was okay...
When I was supposed to enter the gate the guard told me that Miguel(my nine year old son) did not have his own application form for K-2. So what I need to do was "go to the near computer cafe and make him fill up the form. "They will take me slow down." Then finally I got to finish it at 8:20 am. Then we go back again to the embassy and submit the appointment letter.
The ticketing cashier gives me a number of 5050, so I wonder that number and think that our chances were about 50/50 what the heck! I continue to go and we entered at the waiting area, then a few minutes when we were sitting there our number flash on the screen. Got to have the fingerprints and back to our seats again.
After a half hour our number show up on board. Second interview was in a Filipina officer she asked me to submit the following papers such as Certificate of no Marriage, b'certificate, affidavit of support and other documents.
She was talking with Miguel, my nine year old son, a little. While she was reviewing all the documents
Our number being called again and then we go the final interview.
I greeted her a good morning and smile at her. Then she start questioning me. like, what did u
I call him? (Said Robert because she was looking at the chats that I have submitted and said why was his name is Mark, i told her that, that was the name that he was using on Facebook.)
Another question about, when you were going to get married? (right away in a private ceremony, followed by a church wedding later.)
And do you have a picture together?(NO, we only took one and she erased it by mistake.)
Who is Ceffy? (her fiance's son by a previous marriage)
What did you do in Kuwait? I said I was a cook there and she said what food do you cook? Give me a sample like.. (This would indicate that she was really a cook in Kuwait.)
And finally she told me. Okay wait for your number to be called at the releasing area.
WE get back to our seats again and wait for more than an hour. then the man who was at the window call my number. He told me, good morning mam we will see if your documents was 50/50 (made sure he was talking to the right person) then he smiled at me and said we will going to mail you your visa. |
