Consulate Review: Frankfurt, Germany
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 22, 2014
Embassy Review : Overall I had an excellent experience with the visa process in Frankfurt. I had an appointment for 9:30 and only arrived there at 9:36 because of a delayed flight. I worried about being late but that did not matter at all. I went through security and made the tours to the different windows until I finally had my interview - which consisted of exactly two questions (in German): 1. How did you meet your fiancee? 2. What does she do for a living? The rest was a nice chat. My medical files had not arrived at the consulate yet (I had the medical 3 days prior to the interview) so my visa request was denied for the moment but will automatically go ahead as soon as the required documents arrive from the doctor. Overall I spent some 90 minutes at the consulate and can only say that everybody there was very friendly and helpful and that the whole process was not as problematic as I thought it would be.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
