UPDATE: Withdrew K1 application because I'm going to the Philippines to get married there then we'll start over with the spouse visa process.

UPDATE: January 31, 2016
We got married in the Philippines.
Now we deal with the paperwork trying to get our marriage certificate so we can start the spouse visa process.

UPDATE: Jan, 2018
We had the consulate interview scheduled then had "problems" with the health screening (they didn't like the appearances of her lung x-ray) and had to push everything back a couple months.
We discovered this is fairly common in the Philippines. They wanted to do a TB test which involves running a culture which takes 8 - 10 weeks. Frustrating but that's government for ya.
The TB test came back negative so we rescheduled the interview for Friday the 13th. Amazingly enough there were a LOT of open time slots available for the interview even just a few days out.

Update: June 2018
We had prepared well and her interview was only three or five questions and about ten minutes from start to finish.
I flew back to the Philippines so we could travel to the US together. Grace arrived in the US June 6th in Chicago. Going through customs and immigration was a breeze.
Now we're finally together forever!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
