Consulate Review: Montreal, Canada
Review Topic: K3 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 29, 2015
Embassy Review : We had a hard time figuring parking the hotel has a way you drive down below the hotel and it cost 22 bucks . We had a hotel 5 blocks away and saw it hard to park around the area so we walked to it . Appointment was at 8am we got there at 7am only two other people there before us . then others came and keep wanting to get in our spots where we were. lots of them did. not rude or anything just pushing in your spots. The men wanted us to back against the wall so they can put a line thing like we have in stores to line up and people wouldn't do it very easliy. . We were asked who had letters for appt.l we got our spot back. they ask for courier confirmation (which is where to mail your passport -you go on-line for to specific which you want. (we didnt know how to do , to your address it only has which city is close to you ) We had a bag with our documents in it . it was closely checked before to security X rays .. we did our best not to wear anything or have things with us. You sit in certain area with a number given before walking in building . Then they took everyone in areas on elevator in fact it looked really full the lst one. We got on second one elevator... There was a man on the 19th floor checking which you are a number or etc .. people with numbers sit in certain areas.. He was a cheerful kindly man. Then our number was called to a certain window .. then asked for documents on both list we had from nvc and consulate (mailed us one too, of extra things needed). I had to bring new taxes for this year cause its been since April of our last one .. when I handed her my taxes my (also need originals from co sponsor)(which we had little time to do) she s stuck my orginals in the file -- she pulled a hugh file out and stuck them in our file she had her area , it looked like all we have sent into this whole process --- a hugh file) I mentioned that was my original and she copied it and filed it in our file where it would of gone and my co sponsors too. we had to get (co-sponsor taxes too from her the updated ones.. ) so that makes four years worth they have now. and then she asked us for medical report. We had the Dr form from Toronto tell us they will mail them to consulate. They sent us a email of courier slip where they are sent to Virginia and to Consulate.. the lady didn't know what our documents were, wasnt want she was familar with.. .. and we explained this is what we were given.. So, she asked advise... and they said they would find them. (We learned because of a waiver at border we had to have extra medical done-- we had to have papers from my husband Dr. write out a form and be sign and the past 6month to one years medical records) They (panel dr) are to check on mental and etc and also need the criminal records..(if you have ever been arrested) and that was all done questioning on the report (by panel Dr. We were told this is done to waiver the border for to live in America why we have to have that done...... (wish we would of know these would of occurred so we had the our Dr updated ahead some and extra moneys ) 500 dollars .. anyway the lady called me to window for more documentations and I asked did you find the medical (Ive since learned they cant give you ones that have criminal records they have to be sent to consulate) and then I asked did they find them she said don't worry they will. Then we were directed to another window .Oh she asked for police records I gave her all three of the past ones ..... one is new cause the list said to renew it ... and the last one was done in Feb of this year and it is one year before expiring so ,(that what we read is year before expiring) . (something things in Canada are expiring every six months now ) (plus were told the medical expires every six months) So. when we got to window the man had him read a paper on window of swearing , asked me about my co sponsor and why I know the person. and then he started that the police record was expired and i said I gave you three , (he proceeded that i cant talk on the person getting the visa ) my husband doesn't deal with papers well so I mainly knew exactly where all of the papers were even though i was training him to know.. he was getting confused on them.. then he asked of medical and i said this is all then i got in trouble again not to talk ........ so , i refrained .. he wouldn't look at the papers we had . been given on the courier that delivered them. Then he looked at husband record of when he was 19 years old .. my husband is 60 now . and questioning him of it . it was dropped to stealing .. no weapons .. but the man decided he was inadminisaible and wrote up on to have a I -601 form with it being INA § 212(a)(2)(A)(i)(I) :seems to be on Crimes Involving Moral Turpitude as far as we know at this point. and he was given back his passport and we are to give a medical and police report and this form .. it seems we arent to fill out yourselfs cause you have to word a certain way on explaining your crimes . its a type of waiver to let you live in country . But we have been told that the medical report was to clear it (so we were told ) it says hes not a threat he has been reformed for over 20 years now. but anyway.. our first attempt of a lawyer is wanting 2000 bucks to help us with it . and we were told it take at least 6 months for it to go through .. so , we praying some better answers about lawyer cause we dont have that kind of money it would take months . and its almost 600 for the form then after 6 months the medical expries so there goes some more moneys .. . any way ...... just want to be together and go on with our lifes .. we have gone through a lot to be here . and just have to keep pushing through , there has to be an end to this , all. we are just in love and paying for it with this immugrations maze we just want out .in fact it seems we werent given back our orginal police records forms .now we have to figure out without orginals and dont know how to ask them for them and now another lawyer says 6000 dollars to help this process has broke us we need a miracle we have no idea thru this maze . I have been away from my family for 4 years now and missing love with my new lst grandchild and seen him only a couple of day in person .. im 2000 miles away from my family and theres nothing for us in windsor not even family who cares but my children in my home in Idaho do I have more work there and i dont feel this right .. my husband has been a totally changed man for over 30 years now we are no threat to society in any way shape or form we are just a couple who was ignort of meeting out of country ..... we have no money just pure love and our hearts are bleeding

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
