Consulate Review: Sweden
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 13, 2014
Embassy Review : It all went very smooth, me and my daughter got there just before 8 and we were the first in immigration line.
A security guard called us up for the security check and we had to show our passports and take our jackets off and show the our soles of our boots.
After that we could go in and go through the scan and they pointed us up to the entrance and to window G.
We went straight to the window and a gentlemen talked to us in Swedish asked for our documents such as
passport and and our passport photographs
ds-160,
affidavits of support,
"personbevis 120 of all relationships", including proof of sole custody witch is stated in the personbevis,
payment confirmation and some evidence. He asked how many times i have been to the states and what kind of visa i had used before, how often we kept in touch and i told him we talk several times a day on the phone and over skype.
I had a lot of ongoing evidence with me, like all our phone records, email conovos for the last 6 month, google hangouts, letters, photographs, etc but he just took our skype records, our photograph and some of my greeting cards i had that my fiance sent me.
Then he gave us back the result of our medical examinations and asked us to wait for the interview.
I think we waited for about 20 minutes until a woman called us up to window D and asked me to swear the oath for me and for the behalf of my daughter and then she took my fingerprints twice, for me and for my girl.
She just asked me a couple of questiones as how we met and how may times we have met and were. she asked about his work and about our sponsors, who they were and what they did for a living.
Then she asked were we are going to live and how soon we plan to get married.
She also asked me if it was my own free will to move.
Then she just asked a few questions about my daughter, how old she was and witch grade she will be in and then she just handed my proof back and said that they have everything they needed and i would get our passport back in 2 weeks.
It went so fast i had to ask her if we got approved and she just smiled and said yes
She was very nice and friendly and down to earth,
the whole experience, as someone stated before me, where just very good vibes, from the security to the the officers inside.
the whole thing took less then an hour.

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
