Event Description

Embassy Review : Went to the interview as early as possible. Got there a litle before 6 am and was the first in ine by 6:30. Doors opened at 7 am went through security and was seated by 7:30. Got called to the window 1. The guy asked for our appointment letter and sent us back to our seats. We were then called back to the window and asked to go pay the visa fee at the cashier and return to window 1. He then asked for the civil documents (he was a bit mean). Once he collected all the documents he needed he asked us to take a seat and wait to be called. They only took the documents from my fiance, the affidavit of support and my 2012 tax return. We were then paged to go to interview room #7. The Officer was very nice and friendly. Asked how we knew each other, where we planned on having our wedding, if we had any kids, then he saw that my fiance has his own plumbing business and asked if he plans on continuing the same thing up here. The experience was not really bad. So far this has been the easiest part of the whole process. So relieved that it is over. And now to the good stuff until AOS.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
