No RFE requested and No Interview requested either. Seems USCIS is too back logged to do interviews for those well prepared to prove marriage is legit. Her green card was received a few days before her 1 year extension letter expired. Recommend to others, if getting close to your expiration date (or 1 year after conditional green card expires) I recommended getting an INFOPASS and having a I551 stamp placed in your passport just in case you need to travel. |

Embassy Review : |
Nat went to her medical on Monday February 3rd at 9am and the procedure was less than an hour. She waited around and received the passing results by 3pm that afternoon. The medical facility isn't even close to the standards in the USA, long lines, the doctors don't smile, and the patients are treated by number rather than name.
The following morning at 7:45am she attended her interview at the American Embassy. After she handed in her paperwork, she immediately met a young person who asked her two questions, how she met me and how many times we met. She was told she would receive her visa in the mail within a week. Interview time: Less than five minutes!
The staff at the US Embassy were extremely professional and helpful. Nat mis-spelled her name on the interview application (in conjunction with her birth certificate, I VS Y) and yet the personnel allowed her to log onto a computer at the embassy, fix the error and reprint it. I'm not saying to expect this kind of service every time. I'm just saying it does happen and we got lucky because otherwise the interview would have to have been rescheduled!!! Bottom line, triple check all documents match!!!!
Good luck to those who follow us. We were very nervous as to this process, and weren't sure of the truth behind previous interviews before us however the testimonies on VisaJourney are true. And it saved us 1000's of dollars in attorney fees!!!!! This is an incredible site, the more people who contribute, the better it will become. Good luck to everyone in bringing their dream person home to the wonderful USA. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
