Embassy Review : Greetings,

We had a great experience. As many have mentioned previously, very high level of security. We went up to the 10th floor, had paperwork sorted and then went through security screening.I forgot to print out DS-160 and the lady said it was okay and if I needed they would direct me where to go an print it. We were escorted to the elevator which took us up to level 68? Again, officer checked our passports and buzzed through the doors. Walked up to machine and selected visa option (2 options only). We got a receipt with a number and then we waited until our number was called. So our appointment was 8:15 but it seemed like whoever got a ticket first, got called first.
Anyway, the interview was for my spouse but I tagged along as his English is limited. We finally got called after an hour, lady sorted our paperwork again and checked all originals, grabbed our file, and asked questions like "have you been to the US?", "are you in the army?", "previous marriages?". After like 30 minutes, she told us to have a seat and we would be called again for an interview. Again we sat for like an hour and then we were called to the window again by a different person. She asked my husband about how we met, how does he know the joint sponsor, where we plan on living? Very simple questions, she asked me a few things too about my school and when I graduated. She took his fingerprints and said "you are approved" and that only took like 10 minutes. We were anxious and the wait didn't help but everyone was lovely and if you have everything in order and are genuine, you should a lovely experience like we did.

P.S. They never asked for the DS-160 conformation page javascript:emoticon('')
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
