Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 4, 2013
Embassy Review : Fiers of all, please, leave all the electronic stuff (like headphones and charging devices ) and perfume at the home, because anything of these is not allowed to bring into the embassy building. You are able to drop off the phone at the entry post and take it back after the interview, but they take nothing except it.

Everything went really fast: they checked my docs, told me to go upstairs to the room 5, and there the working stuff asked me to give them the financial papers, medical results in the envelope, birth certificate, police certificate and the confirmation of ds-160, and the photos for visa. Then they took my fingerprints ( right there, there is no need to go downstairs, as I have read before )

After that they handled me the brochure about domestic violence and the text of the oath that I was telling the truth and told me to wait for a while.
They called me in 5 min, and I had to go in a little white room - Mr.Consulate officer was sitting behind the glass, and so the main part of the process began unsure.png

He greeted me, I replied him in english, but he continued to talk in russian. I said I was fine to speak in english, but he ignored me again. He asked me how we met, and I can say he was quite meticulous. Then I was asked about the proposal, about Jack's occupation, about his name ( I think he wanted to check if I knew his former name ), about my trips to the USA, about my work, and - the most confusing moment, - why I hadn't told about Jack when I applied for the B2 visa a year ago. I answered I was not going to stay in US, and the main aim of my visit was to attend the courses. And that I understood it would be a 100% refuse if I told I had a boyfriend in there wink.png

Then I was asked for the photos ( the officer smiled when he saw some instagram screenshots ), asked me about some of the photos, I explained when and where they were taken.

The last question was where does his father live there in the USA, but I replied he lives here, in Moscow dancin5hr.gif Officer smiled, then started to quickly type something, nodded his head and said my visa was approved and would be issued in a week. Ta-daaah!

That's it ;-)
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
