Event Description

Embassy Review : Hi,
Though I was in Jamaica during my fiances's interview I was not allowed inside. I waited about 3 hours outside for him. He described the processing as going smoothly. He then waited a little while for the officer to call him to the window. He said the officer asked him what do I do for a living ? Then there was a brief pause while the officer appeared to be doing something on the computer. Then he was asked, How did you meet your fiancee ? and How many times have we met ? My fiance had two expandable folders of photos, call records, receipts, text messages and my fiancial supporting documents (job letter, taxes etc. ) and the officer did NOT ask for any of them. Not even the non-impediment to marriage paper or his original divorce decree. With the appointment letter emailed from the embassy there was a K1 visa checklist attached to the email. Those were the only documents he had DS-156, 156K and 157 and whatever else like the police record, passport, medical etc. They said the visa will be issued in 2-3 weeks. We are very grateful to God that everything went well. Thanks to this website as it was very informative and helpful. My fiance reviewed all the sample questions found here and anywhere on "google" or youtube related to k1 visa interview questions. Thank God everything went well for us. We wish every couple the best too. Hope this is helpful to all.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
