Event Description

Embassy Review : I was able to attend the interview with my fiance since I was in town. Was advised to arrive Jan 6 between 7:30-10:00am. Arrived at 7:00am. Waited in line for about 15 minutes outside before going through security and getting our ticket number. Called to Biometrics window (STEP 1) at 8:30a. Took just a few minutes to collect finger prints, then you return to your seat. Called to Filipino consular window (STEP 2) at 11:20a. I stayed with my fiance at the window during this interview and was even asked questions. Everything went smooth expect on the i-134 support form. I included W2, bank letter and employment letter but was asked why I didn't include 1040 tax copy. I advised the consular that was not a requirement listed on the i-134 instructions unless you are self-employed. She moved on and didn't discuss it further and we returned to our seat. Embassy closed from 12p-1p for lunch. Returned at 1:00p and was called to American Consular window (STEP 3) at 2:10p for interview. The Consular verified I was the petitioner and then had me take my seat while he interviewed my fiance. He called me back to the window to let us both know the visa would be approved. We returned to our seat and was called to releasing window (STEP 4) at 2:30. We turned in our deliver slip that we were given at embassy gate and then left.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
