Consulate Review: Bangladesh
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 23, 2014
Embassy Review : Got there by 7 even though our interview was scheduled for 8:30. Waited outside for an hour.

The first time they called me up, a Bengali lady asked me who applied for me and how old am I (if your under 26 you need to fill out some form) and passed me my medical report telling me that I need to show it to the POE. then she took my passport and asked me to wait.

2 hours later, I was called to another window. IO asked me
What's the name of the petitioner?
How we got married? (the man referenced some stuff from what we sent in our i130 Packet)
What my wife is doing now?
Whats her future plans?
Any wedding pictures?
Then commented that "you two look happy in the pictures" and thanked us for our well prepared documents.

He then handed me the most lovely white paper saying that I was approved, and to come back Thursday (2 days later) to pick up my passport.

AlhamdulilAllah couldn't be more thankful!

Advice for those who plan on applying for CRI/IR1: Well prepare your documents and attach everything to prove your bonafide marriage in your i130 packet...well at least thats what we did and we got approved!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
